Key Accountabilities:

  • Understanding business objectives and developing models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track their progress
  • Managing available resources such as systems, data sources, and hardware so that deadlines are met
  • Analysing the ML algorithms that could be used to solve a given problem and ranking them by their success probability
  • Verifying data quality, and/or ensuring it via data cleaning
  • Defining ML model validation strategies
  • Defining the pre-processing or feature engineering to be done on a given dataset
  • Defining data augmentation pipelines
  • Training models and tuning their hyperparameters
  • Analysing the errors of the model and designing strategies to overcome them
  • Automating deployment and testing of the ML models
  • Continuously monitoring and maintaining the ML model in production environment

About you
As the ideal candidate, you will possess a wealth of experience in designing and implementing cloud solutions, as well as the ability to build MLOps pipelines on cloud solutions (AWS in particular). Furthermore, your skills in building CI/CD pipelines orchestration by GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodePipeline, Airflow or similar tools, will be unrivalled. You are a master with data science model reviews, running the code, refactoring and optimisation, containerization, deployment, versioning, and monitoring of its quality, as is a proficiency with data science models testing, validation and tests automation.

You will also be an able and passionate communicator who relishes engaging with a team of data scientists, data engineers and architects, with an ability to document processes accurately and succinctly.

Other Essential skills:

  • Ability to select hardware to run high performing ML model with the required latency
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS Redshift.
  • Programming languages like Python, Apache Spark, SQL and R; good understanding of Linux, knowledge of ML/deep learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, Keras, PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.
  • High level of understanding of data governance, privacy, modelling a database design
  • Experience working with ML models based on image data, GIS, text data and real time series data
  • Experience working with ETL tools such as SAP Bods, SAP SDI, AWS Kinesis, Glue and Data Pipeline

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Date Science, Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Experience in using AWS, MS Azure or GCP services.
  • Good to have any associate Cloud Certification
  • Background in Engineering is highly desirable
  • Previous working experience with Historian data is a plus
